The basis concept of these Units lays on the transversal articulation of knowledge and competences oriented towards the Markets and bringing an added value approach to the clients in the different sectors. The mission of these Units is then to participate in the definition and performance of the commercial strategies, defining and performing the respective plans and policies, developing and managing relations with clients, following the elaboration and situation of the Offers and keeping contacts with the clients during the carrying out of the projects and execution of the Contracts.

Comprising most of the Company's traditional activity, this Unit provides consultancy and design services in the environmental field and associated areas: environmental management, water and wastewater treatment, water quality, waste management, water supply, wastewater collection, water resources engineering, river and dam engineering, rural engineering, land use planning and coastal zone engineering. |

Within a perspective of innovation and extension of the Company's
activity, this Unit renders services including consultancy in environmental
law, metrology, environmental monitoring, support to management
and operation of water supply, wastewater and solid waste systems,
consultancy in the field of the use of alternative energy sources,
such as biogas and small hydropower plants, economic and financial
studies and the selection, design, development and maintenance of
information systems. |

This Unit develops basic engineering activities, comprising the preparation of studies, designs, and provision of technical expertise, in the fields of foundations, structures, geotechnics, hydrogeology, electrical installations, automation and mechanical installations and equipment. |

Within the framework of planning, design, contracting and construction of contract works, this Unit carries out the activities of management, consultancy, co-ordination and supervision, as well as control of both quality and health, safety and hygiene conditions. |

This Unit performs analysis of freshwaters, potable waters and
wastewaters, also responding to the requests in the areas of water
treatability, analysis of soils, sludges, sediments, leachates and
solid wastes, and support to treatment systems operation. |
